Romans 12:4-8

4 For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, 5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. 6 We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; 7 ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; 8 the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.

I keep a note in my phone of silly, sweet, and beautiful things my kids say.

Many years ago, when my middle daughter was about 4, I was in the kitchen fixing breakfast when my daughter walked by.

Me: Hi Beautiful!
Elise: I am not beautiful!
Me: Oh, honey, I always think you’re beautiful.
Elise: I dont want to be beautiful.
Me: What do you want to be?
Elise: I want to be Elise.

I’m going to keep this one short yall…

Today, tomorrow, and every day, want to be you. Not beautiful, or smart, or rich, or funny, or impressive, or whatever you think people want today. Seek to be the you God created you to be. Trust that is enough.

Have more time? This song, Fear is Not My Future hit me just right today by Brandon Lake:
Fear is not my future, You are.
Sickness is not my story, You are.
Heartbreak is not my home, You are.
