Vast
(60 seconds) When you become a Mom, your questions for God are vast. But God is vaster.
Isaiah 40:26
As a content creator, a lot of my job recently has been learning how to work with AI. A common thought emerges: AI has been around for decades, but our perception and ability to understand it has changed.
This thought reminded me a lot of something Tim Keller wrote in, The Reason for God. Tim writes something along the lines of, God has told us everything our human brains can comprehend about Him and everything we need to know about Him.
Sort of like how humans limit AI, we often limit God too. Unlike AI, our God is truly and completely unlimited in all ways. And yet, we choose to limit Him in our life, consciously or not.
When you become a Mom, your questions for God about life are vast. Why couldn’t I get pregnant as fast as her? Why do I keep having miscarriages? Why is my child dyslexic? But know this Mama, God is vaster.
Our brains can’t actually comprehend His power or His glory. As much as we want to know the answers, part of our faith is trusting that God knows them, He is for your family, and He will never leave your side.

Have more time? Isaiah 40 is one of my favorite chapters because it ends with a metaphor for God’s strength that always makes me feel weightless…
those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Read the whole chapter here.
